Privacy policy
IPOgmps shows public information about Indian IPOs: dates, prices, subscription figures, grey market premiums and allotment links. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site, and your choices. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 in mind.
What we collect
- Nothing you type in. The site has no sign-up, no visitor login and no forms that send us personal details. Allotment checks open on the registrar’s or the exchange’s own website; anything you enter there is handled by them, not by us.
- Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records technical details of each request (IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time) to keep the site running and secure. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify you.
- Analytics, if switched on. We may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and the pages you view. See our Cookie policy.
How we use it
Only to run, secure and improve the website: to keep it online, block abuse, fix errors and understand which pages visitors find useful. We don’t build profiles of visitors, and we don’t sell or rent information to anyone.
Who else is involved
- Hosting and network: our hosting provider and its content delivery network serve the site and may run security checks on visits.
- Google, if analytics is switched on, under its own privacy policy.
- Other websites we link to (registrars, NSE, BSE, SEBI, brokers) have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us what personal data about you we hold, and ask us to correct or erase it; as described above, we normally hold none beyond short-lived technical logs.
Children
IPOgmps is meant for adults interested in investing. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
